Imagine one continuous interior flow, connecting every element into a clean expression of contemporary design. Nothing extraneous, everything with purpose; built around you, the driver. The new Mazda6 raises the bar for the modern sedan.
Mazda’s has refined the award-winning Mazda6 midsize sedan crafting a new Mazda6 with enhanced driving performance yet a quieter, more comfortable ride. This compelling midsize sedan competes with others often found at much higher prices.
Beautifully Re-Imagined, the redesigned interior gives the Mazda6 a feeling of “Mature Elegance.” The 2018 Mazda 6, already hailed as most attractive sedan in it’s class, has upped the ante yet again with refreshed looks, a stylish contemporary interior, and a completely revamped powertrain lineup that propels the shapely sedan in the front of the competition.
One of the most dynamic changes can be found under the long hood. Along with the adoption of cylinder deactivation for the current 2.5-liter inline-four, the 2018 Mazda 6 also will be available with the turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four found in the CX-9 mid-size crossover SUV. The forced-induction four-cylinder produces 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque when drinking a diet of 93-octane gasoline. Swap to regular fuel and the stable holds just 227 horses. While the naturally aspirated engine is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, the turbocharged engine is offered exclusively with the six-speed automatic.
The new Mazda6 sports a front-end design similar to that of the CX-5 compact crossover. Defined by slim headlights and a big, five-point grille, the front end’s most eye-catching characteristic is the chrome grille surround that merges with the bottoms of the headlights.
Changes extend to the interior, where the new Mazda6 features completely redesigned front seats and an all-new dashboard design. A largest in class 8.0-inch info-tainment screen and available heads-up display that projects navigation, traffic and traffic sign information onto the windshield, a 360-degree camera system, and ventilated front seats.
Additionally, the adaptive cruise control system is now capable of bringing the 6 to a complete stop and can accelerate the car back up to the set speed once traffic clears.
The mid-size Mazda’s updated interior, refreshed exterior, and revised powertrain lineup is topped off by an all new flag ship, the Signature trim. Exclusively offered with the more powerful turbocharged engine, the Mazda6 Signature includes seats trimmed in Nappa Leather and Exotic Japanese Sen wood interior details.
