While the overall look of the Mazda CX-5 remains consistent, it is characterized by gentle curves over the elegantly sculpted hood and sides. The front end boasts a contemporary design with sharp LED headlights that elegantly connect to the metallic trim of the grille.
One of the most significant updates for the new Mazda CX-5 is the reintroduction of the entry-level 2.5 S trim, which lowers the base price for 2025. This trim is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower. It also comes equipped with popular features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, cloth seating, rain-sensing wipers, and more.
The turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine remains available, delivering 227 horsepower, which can increase to 256 horsepower when using premium fuel. Both powertrains are paired with standard all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. Certain trims add paddle shifters on the steering wheel and off-road and sport driving modes via the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select system.
Another enhancement for the 2025 Mazda CX-5 is the introduction of two USB-C ports in the front row across all trim levels.
