All About the 2022 Mazda MX-5 Cup Series Shootout Scholarship

Explore the Experience of Mazda MX-5 Cup Series Drivers

Mazda Motorsports is excited to announce that 12 young drivers will compete for three scholarships worth a combined $260,000 to start their Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires career. The 15th edition of the Mazda MX-5 Cup scholarship is valued at $110,000 from Mazda. The selected individuals will compete in the 2023 MX-5 Cup Season. Additionally, two $75,000 scholarships will be awarded to women as part of Mazda’s Women’s Initiative to expand opportunities for women in motorsports. This year’s finalists are the nominees who have automatically qualified by winning a championship in NASA, SCCA Club Racing, or Spec MX-5 Challenge or by an at-large nomination from their peers.
